14-year-old boy electrocuted while trying to take a selfie on a train wagon

In the Jizzakh region, the desire to take a selfie has led to another unfortunate incident. A school student was struck by a high-voltage electric shock while trying to climb onto a train wagon to take a photo.

It is reported that the incident occurred on April 24 at the Marjonbuloq railway station in the Gallaorol district. A 7th-grade student climbed onto a freight wagon parked at the station and was hit by high-voltage electricity at that very moment.

According to official information, the victim is a minor born in 2012, who was immediately taken to the district medical facility. He is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.

According to doctors' conclusions, the child has sustained severe second and third-degree burns covering 35–40 percent of his body surface.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the regional Department for Ensuring Security in Transport.

Unfortunately, such incidents have been increasing recently. Earlier, it was reported that a 17-year-old in the city of Chirchiq was in critical condition after being electrocuted on a wagon. Additionally, on April 27, two more minor students faced a similar dangerous situation.

Experts emphasize the need to be cautious in railway areas, especially near high-voltage lines, and to refrain from such dangerous actions.
