In Uzbekistan, the number of drivers who have exceeded 12 points under the newly introduced penalty point system has reached 49. It is reported that the materials regarding these drivers have been sent to court.
At the same time, it was noted that another 132 drivers have accumulated more than 8 penalty points. As a reminder, the penalty point system was implemented in the country starting June 1, 2025.
According to the system, special points are assigned to drivers for violations such as running a red light, driving into oncoming traffic, speeding, and violating stopping rules.
In accordance with the rules, when a driver accumulates 8 points, they are sent a warning via SMS. If penalty points exceed 12, the driving license may be revoked by a court decision.
Experts urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic regulations.
