"Inter" has repeatedly announced plans to sign a new defender and rejuvenate the squad. However, according to well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano, one of the club's goals has not been realized. The reason is that "Manchester City" signed Abdukadir Khusanov in January.
"The Nerazzurri" had planned to buy the defender in the summer transfer window, but "City" moved faster than any other team, including "Real Madrid", and acquired the player. They paid 40 million euros to convince "Lens" to let Khusanov go in the middle of the season.
"Inter" was watching Khusanov as a replacement for Stefan De Vrij or Francesco Acerbi. The club is looking to bring in a new player to fill the void left by one of their experienced defenders. Acerbi, who has struggled with injuries throughout the season, was seen as the main candidate, but he has been in top form in recent games.
For your information, Abdukadir Khusanov has made six appearances since moving to England, scoring once. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
