Uzbek youth head to England: an important trial starts at QPR
Talented young players of Uzbek football are getting the chance to showcase themselves on the international stage. Pakhtakor forward Saidumarkhon Saidnurullaev and two young Surkhan players — Behruz Karimov and Behruz Shukurullaev — have headed to London for a trial at England’s famous club Queens Park Rangers (QPR).

The three footballers travelled to London via Tashkent and Istanbul and will participate in a two-week QPR training camp. The club, founded in 1882, plays in the English Championship (the second tier below the Premier League). QPR holds its home matches at Loftus Road stadium. This training camp, under the guidance of specialists, could be a big opportunity for the young players’ future professional careers.

Saidnurullaev, born in 2005, is a product of the Pakhtakor academy. This season, he played one match in the Uzbekistan Cup, scoring two goals and providing one assist. His performance has attracted the attention of many experts.

Behruz Shukurullaev, born in 2006, is a left winger who gained experience at the Odil Akhmedov Academy. He has played four matches for Surkhan.

Karimov, a right-back, was born in 2007 and is also a graduate of the Odil Akhmedov Academy, featuring in six games this season.

These three footballers are making their trip to London through the “Football Group” agency. This agency not only represents young talents but also leading players like Abduqodir Husanov on the international stage.

The QPR trial is significant not only for their personal careers but also for the reputation of Uzbek football. If our youth make the most of this chance, we may soon see them in leading European clubs.
