One of the key events in the football world — the draw ceremony for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers — will take place tomorrow, June 26. This event will be organized at the official headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in Kuala Lumpur and will begin at 12:00 Tashkent time.
Delegates from the Uzbekistan Futsal Federation, as well as representatives from all other regional associations, will participate in the draw. Currently, our national team, along with the most prestigious teams in Asia — Iran, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Iraq — is in Pot 1. This reflects Uzbekistan's leading position on the continent and the high results achieved in recent years.
It is noteworthy that a total of 30 national teams will participate in the Asian Cup qualifying round. Based on the draw results, teams will be divided into several groups, and the strongest from each group will qualify for the final stage of the tournament. The final stage itself is scheduled to take place from September 16 to 24 this year.
For Uzbekistan’s national team, these qualifiers are not only an opportunity to secure a place in another major tournament but also a chance to showcase their potential once again. The head coach and staff are working intensively on all aspects of the team's preparation.
The upcoming draw will not only determine the fate of the teams but will also shape the entire preparation process leading up to the tournament. For our fans, it’s another great reason to support the team and closely follow their progress. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
