The true football star of South Korea, Tottenham’s captain Son Heung-min, spoke openly about the toughest and most decisive challenges of his life, reports koreatimes.co.kr. According to Son, his whole world changed when, at the age of 15, he left his homeland for Germany, but he was ready to face any hardship to realize his childhood dream.
“At 15, I left Korea. With my parents’ blessing, I flew to Germany. Everything there was unfamiliar — the language, the environment, it was all completely different. I cried almost every day because I felt sad and lonely. But this was my dream, and no matter how hard it was, I wanted to give it my all,” said Son Heung-min.
The footballer emphasizes that in any difficult trial, one should never step back but face it head-on and keep moving. With this spirit, he joined Hamburg’s academy in Germany, then moved to Bayer, and became a recognized star on the European stage.
According to the information, between 2008–2010, Son played for Hamburg’s U-17 and U-19 teams, showcasing his talent. He then reached the main squad, and in 2013, he moved to Bayer. Two years later, he transferred to Tottenham in England and is now the team’s captain.
Experts and football fans recognize Son Heung-min as an example of strong character, patience, and hard work. His journey is seen as an inspiring story for young people and a key to great success in football.
