Experienced forward Joël Kojo, who played for Iran’s "Esteghlal" club and the Kyrgyz Republic national team, is returning to Uzbekistan's Super League. According to his agent, the footballer arrived yesterday from Iran to Uzbekistan and will soon sign a contract with a new club.
Now it's confirmed — Kojo will continue his career with Fergana’s "Neftchi" club. Sources say "Nasaf" from Karshi also showed interest, but the player trusted Neftchi’s project more and chose this option.
Joël Kojo is not unknown to Uzbek football fans: he spent two seasons with "Dinamo" and proved himself to be an efficient and mobile attacker. His return to the Super League could be significant for strengthening Neftchi's attacking line.
At present, the Ferghana team is seriously preparing for the second half of the championship, and this transfer is a long-awaited news for the club’s supporters.
