Uzbek media have shared interesting information about television rights for the new football season. The MTRK media holding, which includes the channels “Sport TV” and “Football TV”, as well as the private channel “Zor TV”, have obtained full broadcasting rights to Serie A (Italian championship), the Italian Cup, La Liga (Spanish championship) and the FA Cup. This was announced in recent days by “Sport TV” commentator Otabek Joraev on his social media page.
According to Joraev, the relevant contract includes not only the broadcasting of games, but also studio programmes, pre- and post-match analyses, live reports and special content. At present, “Football TV” and “Sport TV” have also been showing matches of European giants at a high level in previous seasons; this news opens new opportunities for Uzbek sports channels.
At the same time, the broadcasting rights for European Premier Leagues belong to various holdings. Before the start of the season, media reported that the “Setanta Sports” platform had obtained the right to show the 2025/26 season of the English Premier League in Uzbekistan. This means that EPL matches will mainly be shown on this streaming service.
