After the 20th round Super League match between “Bukhara” and “Kokand-1912”, hot opinions were voiced off the field as well. The head coach of the guests, Bahrom Haydarov, shared his thoughts at the press conference held after the match. According to him, his team did not deserve this defeat, but luck and inefficiency in using chances influenced the result.
“First of all, I congratulate ‘Bukhara’ on the victory. But we did not deserve the defeat. According to our plan, we had to put pressure on the opponent in the second half, and we did it. When playing away, it is very important to use the opportunities effectively. The game was equal, we created many chances. At the very least, we deserved a draw, but we suffered a painful defeat. I don’t even know what to say,” said Haydarov.
The coach also commented on the goal episode: “When switching from attack to defense, we allowed some slowness. The opponent moved to a quick attack and we allowed a shot. In fact, Shohruh Gadoev should have been next to Aziz Amonov and should not have allowed him to shoot. After the ricochet, our goalkeeper acted unconfidently. That ball could have been cleared. There were no obvious dangerous moments near our goal, but luck was on the opponent’s side. Our goalkeeper said that the ball did not cross the line, but that is a completely different situation. First of all, we had to return to defense faster.”
Haydarov also explained the substitution of Shohruh Gadoev. According to him, the player was not yet ready to play a full match. “Gadoev played little in the first half of the season, so he is not in full condition. This is not connected with that episode, he was substituted because he felt tired. Football is a team sport, if one makes a mistake, others should correct it. We will analyze the episodes, show them to the players and try not to repeat such mistakes,” he said.
Journalists asked about the team’s few goals. Haydarov expressed a critical opinion: “Of course, this is very few. In the second half of the season we strengthened the competition by bringing in new forwards. In the first half we scored about 10 goals — that is also very few. Today in the second half we had 4 clear chances — Abror Karimov, Abdug‘ofur Haydarov and Javohir Husanov also had opportunities. At least half of them should have been turned into goals. If we cannot score, this may lead to falling down in the league table. This also negatively affects the team’s mood.”
In conclusion, he emphasized that according to the team’s play, they do not deserve to be in the lower positions and will strive to rise higher.
