The famous Irish MMA star Conor McGregor has now an answer to the questions about where and how he will conduct his next fight. Unexpectedly, he will hold his next performance not in the UFC octagon but in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) league.
BKFC promotion head David Feldman, at a press conference held in New Jersey, touched on this matter. According to him, Conor was actually supposed to attend the conference, but he could not come because he is fully focused on training.
“Today, my friend Conor was supposed to be with us. But right now he is busy with training. Believe me, this is the best Conor I have seen. He is training even harder than for his previous fights. With a high probability, the next opponent of the Irishman will be the winner of the fight between Jeremy Stevenson and Mike Perry,” said Feldman.
Thus, clarity begins to appear regarding whom McGregor will face in his next fight. At present, all attention is focused on the duel between Stevenson and Perry. The winner of this clash is expected to enter the ring against the Irish star.
It should be reminded that Conor McGregor last entered the octagon in 2021 at the “UFC 264” tournament. In that fight, he faced his American rival Dustin Poirier and lost by technical knockout already in the first round.
Since that day, Conor has somewhat distanced himself from the big sports stage, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his return. Now he is preparing to test his strength in a new league.
For the fans, the main question is — will this return open for the Irish star the way to great victories, or will it, on the contrary, bring even tougher challenges before him?
