A press conference was held ahead of the "Arkadag" - "Andijan" match, part of the first round of the Asian Champions League-2. The home team's head coach, Ravshan Muhadov, shared his thoughts.
"First of all, welcome!" began the experienced coach. - Every team enters the field only for a positive result. We thoroughly studied the opponent through their performances in the Uzbekistan Championship, analyzed their strengths and weaknesses, and prepared accordingly.
According to Mukhadov, tomorrow's match will be of great importance for "Arcadag":
- This competition is a great celebration not only for us, but also for the fans of the entire Turkmen people. We participated successfully last season, and our plans are high. In this competition, there is never an easy opponent. Considering that even Ronaldo's team is participating in this tournament, every match is a serious test.
The specialist also touched upon the physical condition of his students:
- The functional readiness of the football players is at a 100% level. A professional footballer usually finds his game after 5-6 rounds. The most important thing here is the correct use of the squad and confidence in our own strength. If he doesn't believe in himself, there's no point in coming onto the field.
Mukhadov also addressed the fans:
- We invite fans from all regions of Turkmenistan to Arkadag. In the first match, the players want to win in front of the fans and bring them joy.
To the question about "Andijan," he answered cautiously:
- Of course, we studied them. We know well which legionnaires are playing in which positions. For example, the goalkeeper is with the Kyrgyzstan national team. The team is very high-class. But I won't talk much about it now. The most accurate assessment will be tomorrow's game itself," Mukhadov concluded.
For information, the match between Arkadag and Andijan will take place on September 17th and kick off at 6:45 PM Tashkent time.
