Following the second round of the Champions League, UEFA announced the nominees for Player of the Week. The list includes Real Madrid captain Kylian Mbappé, Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, Napoli forward Rasmus Hojlund, and Budø-Glimt player Jens-Petter Hauge.
Mbappe scored a hat-trick
Kylian Mbappé scored a hat-trick against Kairat, securing a resounding victory for his team. This made the French player one of the contenders for the Player of the Week award.
Remaining candidates
The remaining three candidates also achieved great results, all of them scoring a brace. Erling Haaland, Rasmus Hoylund, and Jens-Petter Hauge also have every right to be Player of the Week.
Reminder
In the first round, Barcelona's Marcus Rashford was named the player of the week.
