In the third round of the AFC Champions League group stage, Nasaf played away against Shabab Al-Ahli in Dubai. The match ended unsuccessfully for the opponents - the hosts won with a score of 4:1.
As soon as the game began, the duel began at a high tempo. Initially, Federico Cartabia opened the scoring in the 9th minute, putting Shabab Al-Ahli ahead. Less than a minute later, the opponents responded - Zafarmurod Abdurahmatov scored 1:1 after a pass from Sardor Bahromov.
However, in the middle of the first half, the Dubai side regained the initiative. In the 27th minute, Renan Victor put his team ahead again, and in the 41st minute, he doubled Matevsao's lead.
In the second half, Ro'ziqul Berdiyev's side attempted to rectify the situation through substitutions - Norchayev, Sidiqov, and Bozorov were brought onto the field. But even in the final minutes, the situation did not change. In 90+5, Breno Cascardo Lemos scored Shabab Al-Ahli's fourth goal, putting an end to the match.
Thus, "Nasaf" lost all three matches in the Asian Champions League. This result significantly hampered the team's ability to get out of the group.
The next meeting of the opposition will take place on November 3 against "Al-Wahda." This match is expected to be one of "Nasaf's" last opportunities in the group.
