The 3rd round of the UEFA Champions League has started excitingly, as expected. In the match against Olympiakos in Spain, Barcelona's fans were delighted with spectacular goals - the Catalans secured a resounding 6-1 victory.
From the very first minutes of the game, Barcelona dominated the field. Playing in an attacking style, the team opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a precise shot from Fermin Lopez. In the 39th minute, he scored another goal, scoring a brace.
In the second half of the first half, Olympiacos didn't miss their chance either - Al-Kaabi converted a penalty in the 54th minute to reduce the deficit. However, this goal only temporarily consoled the visitors.
Barcelona played more actively in the second half. In the 68th minute, the young talent Lamin Yamal scored from a penalty, making the score 3-1. A few minutes later, Rashford scored twice in a row, scoring a brace. Lopez scored his third goal in the 76th minute, finishing the match with a hat-trick.
6:1 - a very convincing result for Barcelona. The Catalan club thus reached 6 points and strengthened their leading position in the group.
The situation at Olympiacos is much more complicated - they remain at the bottom of the table with only one point. In addition, the team was one man down after Hezze received a second yellow card in the 57th minute and was sent off.
In another match of the day, Kazakhstan's "Kairat" agreed to a goalless draw with "Pafos," which was reduced to 10 men (0:0). This result was a two-point loss for the Kazakhs, as they had dominated most of the match.
