Uzbekistan's boxers on the eve of the final of the Islamic Solidarity Games

The VI Islamic Solidarity Games, taking place in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, have entered an active phase. Boxing matches within the framework of the tournament are continuing at an accelerated pace, and today the decisive matches for the final are being held.

The Uzbekistan national team is showing a worthy result at this stage - exactly six of our representatives made it to the semi-finals. They are entering the decisive battle to maintain their chances for the gold medal in their weight categories.

In the -54 kg weight category, experienced Uzukjamol Yunusova competed against Aysen Taşin from Turkey. The judges awarded the victory to the Turkish athlete with a small margin. Thus, although Uzukjamol Yunusova lost in the semifinals, she finished the competition with a bronze medal.

In the -60 kg weight category, Odinaxon Ismoilova will compete against Fatima Zahra from Pakistan. Ismailova defeated her opponents with a clear advantage in the last three matches and intends to fight in the same spirit today.
