Real Madrid's first draw: Rayo Vallecano stopped them

In the 12th round of the Spanish championship, Madrid's "Real" team recorded a goalless draw away against "Rayo Vallecano." Under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, "Real" aimed to secure their fifth consecutive victory at the "Campo de Vallecas" stadium, but the host team did not allow this to happen.

Last week, both teams played in European competitions: "Real" suffered a defeat against "Liverpool" in the Champions League, while "Rayo Vallecano" beat Poland's "Lech" by a single goal difference in the Conference League. "Rayo Vallecano" has often been a tough opponent for many strong teams.

Once again, it wasn’t easy for "Real" to gain the upper hand in the game. Vinicius Junior was active on the left wing, organizing attacks but also attempting to fulfill his defensive duties.

In the 20th minute, "Rayo" player Andrey Ratiu received a sharp pass, entered the penalty area, and took a shot at goal, but Thibaut Courtois managed to save it. "Real" also created their chances.

Kylian Mbappe crossed from the wing, Bellingham contested it in the air, and Vinicius seized the ball and took a shot, but the host goalkeeper Augusto Batalla diverted the ball to a corner. Later, a cross from Brahim Diaz found Raul Asensio, but his header missed the target.

The second half also saw a match dominated more by evenly matched battles. "Rayo Vallecano" players stood strong in defense and attempted to launch counterattacks.

In the 90th minute, the hosts had an opportunity to snatch a victory, but Oscar Valentin's shot was off target. As a result, "Real Madrid" drew for the first time this season and, after 12 matches, now has 31 points.

If "Barcelona" wins their next match against "Celta," they will be only three points behind "Real."
