In the 12th round of the Spanish championship, Madrid's "Real" team recorded a goalless draw away against "Rayo Vallecano." Under the guidance of Xabi Alonso, "Real" aimed to secure their fifth consecutive victory at the "Campo de Vallecas" stadium, but the host team did not allow this to happen.
