The next day of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games was also over, and this time the delegation of Uzbekistan managed to delight many with its consistent results. Our athletes won a total of 11 medals in one day - 3 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze.
Gold medals
The following athletes achieved the highest result at this stage:
- Anvar Anvarov in the long jump in athletics;
- our fencers in the men's team rapier;
- representatives of the women's team épée team.
Silver medals
The silver medalists are:
- Svetlana Oknazarova in the women's -68 kg weight category;
- Ugiloy Norboyeva in the all-around in track and field;
- women's team saber swimmers;
- men's team saber competition.
Bronze medals
The bronze medalists also contributed to today's success:
- Natalia Semenova in para-athletics javelin throw;
- G'ulomjon Abdullayev in the -57 kg freestyle wrestling category;
- Umidjon Jalolov in the -65 kg freestyle wrestling category;
- Nigina Sobirova in the women's -62 kg weight category.
According to the National Olympic Committee, our athletes demonstrated determination and will in every discipline and worthily defended the honor of the country. Their current results strengthen the status of the Uzbekistan national team in the overall team standings.
We are confident that our national team will continue to delight the fans with new medals and high results in the remaining days of the competition.
