Foda Confident Slovakia Can Be Defeated

Head coach of the Kosovo national team, Franco Foda, shared his thoughts on the 2026 FIFA World Cup play-off draw. His team will face Slovakia in the semi-final.

"Slovakia is a very strong team, as they proved by defeating Germany 2–0 at home. This will be a challenging away match for us.

However, we are also capable of delivering a good performance. Recently, we defeated Sweden, Slovenia, and Iceland in away games.

We are looking forward to the game. Despite the difficulty, we believe we can defeat Slovakia," the coach stated in an interview with the official FIFA website.

Kosovo secured second place in their qualification group behind Switzerland, while Slovakia finished second behind Germany. The play-off matches are scheduled for March 2026.
