"Liverpool" and Swedish national team striker Alexander Isak has purchased a dog for self-protection following threats received on social media. According to The Sun, Isak spent £30,000 (34,000 euros) for this purpose and acquired a Doberman breed dog.
This dog is intended to protect the footballer off the field. Sources indicate that Isak had a challenging summer due to complications and a high transfer fee related to his move to Liverpool.
The footballer is aiming to organize his life outside the field, and having a protective dog is considered an important step in this process. Additionally, threats were made against Isak after he reportedly boycotted training sessions this summer due to his interest in leaving Newcastle.
Recently, such threats have resurfaced, particularly after the Swedish national team's poor performance in the 2026 World Cup qualification stage, where they finished last in their group. Other players have also faced threats in response to this outcome.
