Former "Ufa" goalkeeper and member of the Armenian national team David Yurchenko shared his thoughts on the possibility of a friendly match between Russia and Armenia. "I view the idea of holding a game between Russia and Armenia positively.

This game would attract significant attention and be very interesting," Yurchenko said in an interview with Metaratings.ru. For reference, the national teams of Armenia and Russia have played against each other five times.
In two matches held in 1999, Russia won with scores of 3-0 and 2-0. Further victories for Russia came in 2011 with a score of 3-1 and in 2014 with a 2-0 win.
Another match in 2011 ended in a 0-0 draw. Currently, Russia is ranked 33rd in the FIFA rankings, while Armenia is positioned at 103rd.
