Former head coach of the Uzbekistan U-17 national team, Islam Ismailov, is on the verge of another career turning point. The comments left by the young specialist on his Instagram page show that his new address is almost certain. This will be another serious test for one of the youngest and most dynamic coaches in civilian football.
Islam Ismailov listed the important stages of his work on the social network. According to his records, he set new records in each league with his youth:
- 2014 - Youngest coach in the First League (22 years old)
- 2020 - Youngest coach in the Pro League (28 years old)
- 2021 - Youngest coach in the Super League (29 years old)
- 2025 - youngest coach at the Asian Championship (33 years old)
- 2025 - youngest coach at the World Cup (33 years old)
- 2026 - Youngest coach in the Elite Champions League (34 years old)
It's clear that through this list, the coach pointed to another of his goals. Especially considering the "Elite Champions League" clause noted for 2026, rumors about Ismailov's next destination are further reinforced.
As is known, next season "Neftchi" will participate in the elite Asian Champions League. This fully corresponds to the project for 2026, which Ismailov noted. Therefore, the possibility of a young coach managing the Fergana club is growing day by day.
Neftchi has not yet released an official statement. However, the fact that the team led by Vitaliy Levchenko has won the Super League title this season may indicate that new strategic decisions are being made before the new stage.
It seems that great opportunities are opening up for both Islom Ismoilov and Neftchi. Now everything depends on the club's official statement.
