Yuriy Syomin evaluates Russia national team's year-end performance

Yuriy Syomin, former coach of the Russian national team, evaluated the team's performance during the 2025 season. According to him, the year was stable and filled with hard work.

- The Russian national team had an ordinary year of hard work. There were good friendly matches, as well as less successful ones.

Some opponents were strong, while others were relatively weaker, - Syomin said in an interview with Metaratings.ru. Throughout 2025, the Russian national team played ten friendly matches.

They achieved six victories, suffered one defeat, and three matches ended in draws. Under the leadership of Valery Karpin, the Russian national team remains excluded from international competitions since 2022.
