Safonov Concedes Penalty Goal in Final

The Intercontinental Cup final is ongoing between PSG and Flamengo. In the first half, the Parisians took the lead thanks to a goal scored by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

In the middle of the second half, the Brazilians equalized when Jorginho successfully converted a penalty. Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov was unable to save the shot from the penalty spot.

It is worth noting that Safonov is playing his fourth consecutive match for PSG. Goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, recovering from an injury, is currently on the bench.
