Uzbek referees to participate in U-23 Asian Cup

The final stage of the U-23 Asian Cup will take place in Saudi Arabia from January 6 to 24, 2026. Representatives of Uzbekistan's football refereeing school will also participate in this prestigious tournament, which will feature the strongest young teams from the continent.

According to reports, a team of Uzbek referees and inspectors has been officially appointed for the tournament. This indicates growing trust in Uzbek referees at the Asian level.

At the final stage, matches will be officiated by main referee Asker Najafaliyev. His reliable assistants on the flanks will be Ruslan Serazetdinov and Bahtiyorkhoja Shavkatov. Meanwhile, Firdavs Norsafarov will work as a referee for the VAR system, which plays an important role in modern football.

Additionally, Valentin Kovalenko will act as an inspector at the tournament, overseeing and evaluating refereeing processes and decisions. Such responsible appointments highlight the experience and competence of Uzbek specialists.
