
Antoine Semenyo, the winger of Bournemouth, has become the second Ghanaian footballer in English Premier League history to directly contribute to more than 20 goals in a single calendar year. According to OptaJoe, the first to achieve this feat was Tony Yeboah, who in 1995, scored 22 goals and provided three assists while playing for Leeds United.
In the current calendar year, the 25-year-old Semenyo has netted 14 goals and assisted his teammates six times. Before the year ends, Bournemouth will face Brentford and Chelsea in Premier League matches.
