Guardiola told the coach there's not enough time, there's no patience in football

There's a truth in football: yesterday they praised your name, but today if there's no result - everyone looks like "forgotten." Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola also addressed the same issue, openly stating that coaches are being given less and less time.
According to the Spanish manager, both the situation surrounding Ruben Amorim and the situation with Enzo Maresca at Chelsea before him are the same scenario: the specialists might be of high caliber, but patience in football has diminished.
Guardiola's main point is this: if a team doesn't win in England, Spain, Germany - wherever they are, no coach can feel at ease. Without results, neither past work nor today's plans will be "burdensome."
According to him, coaches are often hired for their ideas, but they are fired based on the results. In reality, sometimes you just need time, to put the internal process on the right track, to "set down" the system. But in today's football, not everyone can afford this time.
United's example: small details - big pressure
Guardiola also cited Manchester United's recent home games as an example: the team failed to win three home games. In particular, the match against Everton, where one player played less for 70 minutes, as well as matches against Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers - these are the results that increase such pressure.
The Spanish manager's hint is clear: if points hadn't been lost in these games, "United" could have been much closer to even "Arsenal." In football, the difference is sometimes "very short" - one goal, one episode, one decision.
Injuries and tournaments - break any team
Guardiola didn't forget another important aspect: Manchester United currently has the same staffing problems as City. Players participating in the Africa Cup of Nations, important players not on the lineup - all of this complicates the work of any coach.
In conclusion, Guardiola's point comes down to one thing: there's little patience in football, but sometimes it's precisely patience and time that are needed for a stable result. And the question is one - are the clubs ready to give this time?
