Dana White names the greatest rivalry in UFC history

UFC president Dana White answered a question about the most unforgettable and controversial fight in the promotion’s history, citing a clash that still sparks major debates among fans. In his view, there is no doubt about it.

Dana White emphasized that the best and most intense fights in UFC history took place between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. Their rivalry was extremely heated not only inside the Octagon, but outside it as well.

The UFC president recalled the incident when they first faced off at the MGM arena. He said the organization couldn’t fully control the situation at the time. The main goal was to keep the fighters from touching and to maintain respect, but that proved difficult.

According to White, fighters like Jones and Cormier don’t hesitate to respond the moment they feel disrespected. If one of them decides to go all the way, stopping it becomes nearly impossible. That’s why this rivalry holds a special place in UFC history.

For the record, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier stepped into the Octagon against each other twice. Interestingly, each fighter has one win, which makes the rivalry even more compelling and historic.

Dana White’s remarks once again reminded UFC fans why the Jones–Cormier rivalry is considered legendary.
