Nations League draw: Top groups now in full swing...

In Brussels, the draw for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League season was held. The draw results became a real “show” for football fans: in League A, each group looks like a separate tournament — big names, big intrigue, and, of course, the mood of “it’s early, but it already started interestingly”.
League A — a battlefield of “heavyweights”
In League A, each of the four groups already “makes the nerves tingle”:
Group 1: France, Italy, Belgium, Turkey — there is a name, there is a claim, every match is close to a final.
Group 2: Germany, Netherlands, Serbia, Greece — the tempo is high, the idea of “easy points” is almost not there.
Group 3: Spain, Croatia, England, Czechia — both tactics and character are tested.
Group 4: Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Wales — it will not be easy even for the reigning champion, every away game is an “obstacle”.
In short, League A is pleasure for the fan and stress for the coach.
League B — fight, character, and the dream to “move up”
In League B there will be no silence either: in every group, teams will burn to move upward.
Group 1: Scotland, Switzerland, Slovenia, North Macedonia
Group 2: Hungary, Ukraine, Georgia, Northern Ireland
Group 3: Israel, Austria, Ireland, Kosovo
Group 4: Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Sweden
League C — a stage where surprises appear
League C often seems “calm”, but exactly here unexpected heroes appear — in every round there is a new intrigue.
Group 1: Albania, Finland, Belarus, San Marino
Group 2: Montenegro, Armenia, Cyprus, Latvia/Gibraltar
Group 3: Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Faroe Islands, Moldova
Group 4: Iceland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Luxembourg/Malta
League D — every point is worth gold
In League D there are fewer teams, but more responsibility: here every match becomes “fate-deciding”.
Group 1: Latvia/Gibraltar, Luxembourg/Malta, Andorra
Group 2: Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein
Tournament calendar — a long road from autumn 2026 to spring 2028
The competition starts in autumn 2026 and stretches for several years with the following stages:
Round 1: 24–26 September, 2026
Round 2: 27–29 September, 2026
Round 3: 30 September — 3 October, 2026
Round 4: 4–6 October, 2026

Final stage: 9–13 June, 2027
Last play-off stage in Leagues C/D: 23–28 March, 2028
As a reminder: the reigning champion of the tournament is the Portugal national team. That means, in the new season, “bringing the champion down” is everyone’s dream, and for the champion himself each round is a separate exam.
The conclusion is: the draw is done, now the talk is on the pitch. And for the fans, this season does not promise “a single boring week”.
