Uzbek boxers reached the semi-finals of the "Strandja" tournament

Uzbek boxers had another productive day at the traditional international tournament "Strandja" in Sofia, Bulgaria. The second program of the day also ended very successfully for the representatives of our country. Most of the boxers who entered the ring achieved convincing victories and qualified for the semi-finals. Thus, our team is reaching the decisive stage of the tournament with even greater confidence and high spirits.
In the -75 kg weight category, Fazliddin Erkinboyev competed against the representative of Wales, Orlando Holley-Sotomi. Despite the fact that the opponent tried to show a worthy resistance, Fazliddin clearly demonstrated his high level, composure, and technical superiority in the ring. He didn't give up the initiative during the match and practically showed "class" to his opponent. In the end, Erkinboev won with an absolute advantage of 5:0 and confidently advanced to the semi-finals.
Javokhir Ummataliyev was also facing a serious test in the -80 kg weight category. At this stage, he faced Brazilian Vanderley Pereira. Of course, it's natural to have certain concerns before a fight against such a strong opponent. But Javokhir dispelled these doubts with his thorough and meaningful actions. He led the match at a high tempo and managed to gain the necessary advantage in decisive moments. As a result, the match ended with a score of 3:2 in favor of Ummataliyev, who became the next compatriot who reached the semi-finals.
Akmaljon Isroilov, competing in the -85 kg weight category, faced Sultanbek Aibaruli from Kazakhstan. This clash was very uncompromising and interesting. Both boxers gave their all, but Akmaljon looked more confident and stable during the bout. He maintained his dominance over the rounds and completely turned the fight's fate in his favor. The final score was 5:0. This victory once again confirmed Isroilov's serious goal in the tournament.
Norbek Abdullayev, one of our young representatives in the same weight category, competed against the host country's representative, Christian Dimitrov. Fighting against the host boxer, especially under the pressure of crowded stands, is not always easy. But Norbek successfully passed this test as well. Despite any pressure, he didn't lose his composure, demonstrating an orderly and smart boxing. As a result, Abdullayev secured a convincing 5:0 victory, securing his place in the semi-finals.
To'rabek Habibullayev, representing Uzbekistan in the -90 kg weight category, faced Brazilian Santos Ribeiro. This opponent had already proven to be quite dangerous in previous stages. Therefore, it was clear that this debate wouldn't be easy either. However, Turabek limited his opponent's capabilities with his strong will, physical preparation, and precise movements. The Brazilian boxer failed to deliver the expected impact. In the end, Khabibullayev secured a deserved victory with a score of 4:1 and advanced to the semi-finals.
Another Uzbek boxer, Samir Sobirov, in the -90 kg weight category, decided the semi-final against Nurmagamed Yussupov from Kazakhstan. Samir, one of our young representatives, fully justified the trust placed in him in this fight as well. He acted decisively and bravely against a serious opponent, maintaining dominance throughout the rounds.
