According to reports, the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) has held several negotiations to discuss a new coach for the national team. According to information published by the Spanish publication El Nacional, the process was carried out in several stages, and after four-stage negotiations, the last meeting took place in Barcelona.
Sources note that as a result of these discussions, the famous Spanish specialist Pep Guardiola became the most important and most suitable candidate for the leadership of the federation. Dutch football officials are also considering his potential departure from Manchester City in the future.
Guardiola's current contract with the English club runs until 2027. Nevertheless, the Dutch football management is seriously considering the possibility of bringing him to the national team.
It is known that the current head coach of the Netherlands national team, Ronald Koeman, has decided to resign in the near future. Therefore, the KNVB leadership has begun the process of searching for a new specialist.
