Abduqodir Husanov named among top youth players in EPL

In modern football, players under 23 have become more than just talents for clubs; they have turned into real drivers. For this reason, the CIES Football Observatory, which specializes in football analysis, regularly conducts deep studies of players in this age group.
Based on a comprehensive analysis covering 67 leagues, the center's experts formed a ranking of the most effective under-23 footballers worldwide. Notably, this time the evaluation was based not on potential, but on actual results over the last six months—consistency in games, impact on the pitch, and individual statistics.
Abduqodir Husanov, defender for the Uzbekistan national team and "Manchester City," earned a spot on this prestigious list. The 22-year-old legionnaire entered the top ranks in the English Premier League (EPL), ranking 19th with 79.9 points.
Experts specifically highlight Husanov's confident play in initiating attacks and progressing the ball, despite his limited playing time. In short, every minute on the pitch is "proof mode" for him—a chance to prove himself.
In the EPL ranking, Florian Wirtz (Liverpool) took first place with 93.8 points. He was followed by Rayan Cherki (Manchester City) and Lewis Hall (Newcastle United).
According to the CIES version, the ranking of the best under-23 footballers in the EPL is as follows:
1. Florian Wirtz ("Liverpool") — 93.8
2. Rayan Cherki ("Manchester City") — 90.0
3. Lewis Hall ("Newcastle United") — 87.7

18. Noah Sadiki ("Sunderland") — 80.2
19. Abduqodir Husanov ("Manchester City") — 79.9
20. Yasin Ayari ("Brighton") — 79.7.
It is worth noting that this season, Husanov won the English League Cup as part of "Manchester City," securing his first trophy in Europe. Currently, the "Citizens" are fighting seriously for championships in both the English Premier League and the national cup.
In short, Husanov is only 22, but he is already on the big stage. If he continues at this pace, this is only the beginning.
