Uzbekistan's chess players became prize-winners at the World Championship

The youth world chess championship in rapid and blitz disciplines for age categories 8-18 is taking place in Vrnjacka-Banja, Serbia, from April 14–21 this year.
According to the results of the rapid competitions, Uzbekistan's representative Afruza Hamdamova, among girls under 18, scored 8.5 points and won the world champion title. Her confident and stable play was highly praised throughout the tournament.
Also, Islombek Khusanov, among boys under 12, participated successfully and managed to win a bronze medal. His result once again demonstrated the potential in youth chess.
As another positive result, Khusnorakhon Khusnitdinova took second place in the blitz discipline for problem-solving at the world championship, earning a silver medal.
Currently, the blitz competitions of the tournament are ongoing, and the final winners will be determined on April 20.
In short, Uzbekistan's young chess players are once again showcasing their talent on the international stage, bringing joy to the country's sports community.
