Newcastle put Yoane Wissa up for sale for £55m

"Nyukasl" 55 mln funtga tushgan Yoan Vissani sotuvga qo'ydi

Newcastle management has decided to sell forward Yoan Vissa during the summer transfer window. The club has reached an unexpected decision regarding the player, who was purchased for £55 million last year. Goal.com reports on this.

The DR Congo international failed to find his place under Eddie Howe. Due to constant injuries and tactical changes, he was unable to show the expected results for the Tyneside team.

Vissa arrived at Newcastle with high expectations and took over the number 9 shirt worn by the legendary Alan Shearer. However, the transfer from Brentford, completed in September, has not justified itself.

The 29-year-old forward appeared in only 24 matches this season, managing to score 3 goals. He started in the main lineup for only one of the last 16 matches.

Club management is ready to sell Vissa to comply with financial rules and reshape the squad. Even the possibility of incurring a significant loss on this transfer is not stopping the club.

While head coach Eddie Howe acknowledged the player's talent, he provided no guarantees regarding his future. According to the manager, Vissa was unable to show his true level due to injuries.
