Liverpool unveils memorial project dedicated to Diogo Jota and his brother

Liverpool FC has unveiled the first images of a permanent memorial to be installed in memory of forward Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, who passed away tragically last year. The memorial will be located at 97 Avenue outside Anfield stadium, immortalizing the player's career and the close bond between the brothers. This is reported by Goal.com .
The statue, titled "Forever 20," will be placed near the Main Stand. The centerpiece depicts the heart-shaped gesture Jota makes when celebrating his goals. From different angles, the sculpture forms the brothers' squad numbers – 20 and 30.
The club decided to incorporate scarves, flags, and flowers left by fans following the tragedy into the memorial's base through a recycling process. This ensures that the fans' heartfelt emotions become an integral part of the monument.
The memorial design also includes details of a video game controller, reflecting the player's passion for gaming. Additionally, the lyrics of the famous song sung by fans for Jota will be engraved on the structure.
An official opening date for the memorial has not yet been set. This site will serve as a special place for fans from all over the world to remember and pay their respects to the "Portuguese lad."
