Titled Tuesday prize pool to reach record levels

"Chess.com" platform has announced a revolutionary change for one of the most popular competitions in the chess world — "Titled Tuesday" tournament. Starting June 2, 2026, the weekly prize pool will be increased to $10,000. As a result, the tournament's total annual prize money will exceed $500,000, tripling the previous figure.
A battlefield for Grandmasters
Held since 2014, this online championship has become a favorite destination for chess stars. Along with world-class players like Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura, talented players such as our compatriot Javohir Sindarov and Grandmasters like Nihal Sarin regularly participate.
Platform representative Danny Rensch noted that the goal is to further develop high-level tournaments and a fair play system for titled players.
How will the prizes be distributed?
Under the new rules, the $10,000 pool will be distributed as follows:
For main results: $7,500 is allocated, of which the tournament winner's share is $2,500.
Bonus prizes: The remaining $2,500 will be divided among special categories, including the best female player, top young player, most active streamer, and the author of the "best move."
"Perfect Score Bounty" — A unique jackpot
Another exciting update for the tournament is the introduction of the "Perfect Score Bounty" system. If a participant wins all 11 games (11/11 result), they will receive a special bonus. If no one achieves this perfect score, the funds will roll over to the next week's prize pool.
For reference, the "Titled Tuesday" competition has been officially included in the "Esports World Cup" system since 2025, proving that the tournament's prestige and excitement are growing year by year.
