Florentino Perez clarifies the situation regarding Xabi Alonso and Vinicius Junior

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has dismissed rumors that the appointment of Xabi Alonso as head coach was a mistake. Although the manager's tenure ended prematurely in January, Perez insisted that the decision was correct under the circumstances. This is reported by Goal.com reports .
According to Perez, the team's lack of pre-season preparation and the players' physical fatigue were the reasons for the failures. Xabi Alonso was dismissed following the defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.
Addressing concerns regarding Vinicius Junior's contract, the president stated that there is no need to rush into extending the deal with the Brazilian player. Vinicius's current contract runs until 2027, and the club management plans to address this matter during the season.
Although Alvaro Arbeloa finished the season as interim coach, Real Madrid lost the La Liga title to Barcelona and exited the Champions League in the quarter-finals after a defeat to Bayern Munich. Now, the club faces the task of selecting a new coach and strengthening the squad.
