Harry Kane beats Erling Haaland to win the European Golden Shoe

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has been officially awarded the European Golden Shoe as the continent's top scorer for the 2025-26 season. The England captain proved once again that he is Europe's most lethal forward, securing a convincing victory over Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe. This is reported by Goal.com .

Kane managed to accumulate 72 points by scoring 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches. This result made the 32-year-old striker the absolute leader of the rankings. He finished 18 points ahead of Erling Haaland, who collected 54 points with 27 goals. Thus, Harry Kane joined club legends Gerd Muller and Robert Lewandowski as players who have won this prestigious award twice while playing for Bayern.

Having also won this award in the 2023-24 season, Kane recorded phenomenal results across all competitions this year. He scored a total of 61 goals in 51 matches, including 14 in the Champions League and 10 in the DFB-Pokal. His prolific form helped Bayern triumph in the Bundesliga and the domestic cup.

Reflecting on his achievements, Kane stated: "This has been the best season of my career personally." Although Kane secured the top prize, his rivals maintained a high level. Erling Haaland became the top scorer in the Premier League with Manchester City, while Kylian Mbappe won the La Liga Golden Boot for the second consecutive time with Real Madrid.
