Iraola Named Premier League Manager of the Season by Goal

Goal has published its ranking of the best managers for the 2025/26 Premier League season. Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola took the top spot.
The Spanish tactician achieved remarkable results with Bournemouth this season. The team went on an 18-game unbeaten run in the Premier League and finished 6th, a historic achievement for the club.
Iraola transformed Bournemouth from an average mid-table side into a disciplined, competitive unit that poses a serious threat to opponents. Under his leadership, the team utilized high pressing, rapid transitions, and tactical discipline to take points from many top clubs.
Second place in the ranking went to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard led the 'Gunners' to their first Premier League title in 22 years, making his second-place ranking a subject of interesting debate.
Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris took third place, recognized for his exceptional work in preparing his team throughout the season.

Interestingly, Pep Guardiola, who finished 2nd with Manchester City, was placed 6th in the ranking. He was followed by Manchester United manager Michael Carrick. Despite the 'Red Devils' finishing in the top three, Carrick was placed 7th by Goal.
