After the latest update of the Telegram messenger, many users are experiencing problems during usage. In particular, excessive heating of smartphones and rapid battery drain are observed.
Also, high activity of the messenger in the background mode has been noted. In this situation, Artem Sheykin, Deputy Chairman of the Digital Economy Development Council of the Russian Federation, contacted specialists from Kaspersky Lab. He asked the experts to check the messenger's impact on smartphones.
Experts' recommendations:
According to Kaspersky Lab specialists, if the device overheats, the application should be closed immediately.
Sheykin says:
"If your smartphone overheats, close the Telegram app. This reduces the risk of the device malfunctioning."
