YouTube is developing a feature that will allow users to limit their time watching vertical Shorts videos, techcrunch.com reported.
Users will be able to set a daily timer to manage how much time they spend on Shorts. YouTube confirmed to TechCrunch that the feature is in development, though it’s not yet being publicly tested.
According to Android Authority, code snippets suggest the timer will stop endless scrolling, though the Shorts page won’t be fully blocked — some videos will still be accessible.
The update may boost overall views and increase the popularity of Shorts in the long run. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
