Innovation in the Konimeh deserts: Artificial rain was made in Uzbekistan for the first time
Uzbekistan is using new technology to combat climate problems. For the first time, artificial rain was made in the Konimeh district of Navoi region. This was reported by the Kazakh news agency Kazinform.

According to information, at the initiative of the district administration, special modern equipment was brought to the pasture areas of the district in order to stimulate the process of cloud formation in the atmosphere and increase precipitation. This technology is aimed at increasing the ability of clouds to produce rain by releasing chemicals into the atmosphere.

This innovative project is being implemented in collaboration with the Kazakhstani company International Centre of Climate Change Technologies (ICCCT). Based on the agreement signed between the organization and the local authorities, an experiment with rainmaking is being conducted in the desert areas of Konimeh that are prone to drought.

The equipment installed as part of the project works using modern meteorological analysis and modeling. Taking into account such parameters as humidity, temperature and wind direction in the air, clouds are influenced using a special aircraft or device.

According to experts, this technology is being effectively used in countries such as the USA, China, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. Now, this experiment will be tested on a large scale in Uzbekistan in order to develop livestock farming, improve the condition of pastures, and most importantly, mitigate the negative consequences of drought.

Representatives of the Konimeh district administration and the Center for Climate Technologies expressed their satisfaction with the initial results of the project. If the experiment is successful, this technology can be introduced in other regions of the Navoi region.

Thus, artificial rain is a new step towards alleviating the shortage of natural water resources in Uzbekistan and supporting livestock and agriculture. It is expected that such technologies will be widely implemented in the coming years and will become an important part of the country's climate-friendly agro-industrial reforms.
