Air taxi flights to begin in Dubai in 2026

Dubai is on the verge of another technological revolution in the coming years. Starting from 2026, the city plans to launch an air taxi service using electric aircraft. This new mode of transport is equipped with advanced technologies and is seen as a vehicle of the future.

The electric aircraft developed by Joby Aviation offer several advantages over conventional helicopters. They are much quieter — considered low-noise — which is highly suitable for an urban environment. In addition, their flight speed is higher — the aircraft can reach up to 320 kilometers per hour. A full charge of its battery allows it to cover a distance of up to 240 kilometers.

Within the project, flights will be carried out from key points of the city — Dubai International Airport, Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah Island, and central districts. This will provide residents and tourists with fast, convenient, and cutting-edge transport service.
