Slack upgrades search and adds AI summaries for Huddles

According to TechCrunch, Salesforce-owned collaboration platform Slack has rolled out several new AI-powered features aimed at improving productivity and communication.

The updates include smarter search capabilities, automatic transcriptions, and AI-generated summaries for quick audio or video conversations called Huddles.

Users will now be able to find key information more easily in long message threads, as the search engine is context-aware and more intuitive.

Huddle calls — whether audio or video — will be automatically transcribed, and Slack’s AI will generate concise summaries to highlight the main points discussed.

Slack says these tools are particularly helpful for remote teams, allowing members to stay informed even if they miss a meeting.
