TikTok's activities in the US are now managed by a newly established company, headed by American investors. The main stake in this structure belongs to US investors, while Chinese company ByteDance, which owns TikTok, retains only less than a 20 percent stake.
One of the most important changes is that TikTok's algorithm, which works for US users, is now controlled by the tech giant Oracle. Oracle will thoroughly review this algorithm, retrain it based on US user data, and keep constant monitoring of what content will be distributed.
As a result of these changes, TikTok users are more likely to download the new app in the US. Oracle has previously stored TikTok data on servers in the US, but now security and transparency are being enhanced.
These measures are being implemented to address security concerns that have arisen with the U.S. government and to ensure TikTok continues to operate in the U.S.
