Europe develops system against Russian drones

The European Union plans to create a new defense system in response to the threat of Russian drones. The drones that entered Polish airspace served as a warning for Europe’s security.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed building a “drone wall.” However, Germany and France consider the plan complicated and expensive.

The system will include cameras, radars, and sensors to detect drones. Ukraine’s experience is expected to be used in the project.

The project has not yet been agreed upon. Some countries want to manage it themselves instead of through the European Commission.
