Construction of the "Charvak Wind Power Plant" (WPP) with a capacity of 20 megawatts has begun in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region, the Ministry of Energy reported.
The project is planned to be fully launched in 2026. Once operational, the plant will generate an average of 50 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. This will save 15 million cubic meters of natural gas and prevent the release of 22 thousand tons of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
The power plant will provide stable electricity to about 20 thousand households.
Officials emphasized that this project will not only increase energy security in the region but also ensure environmental sustainability. The Bostanlyk wind farm is expected to become one of the most modern "green energy" facilities in the country in the coming years.
