Kazakh founder raised $100,000 for Parde startup

Beksultan Moldaseit, an 18-year-old entrepreneur from Shymkent, has raised $100,000 in pre-seed funding for his US-based startup "Parde". The investment came from the "Boost VC" fund at a valuation of $1.75 million. Reports Digitalbusiness.kz.

"Parde" operates as a hybrid of fintech and an event marketplace. The platform provides ticketing services while offering financing options for event organizers, addressing the common difficulty these businesses face when seeking traditional bank loans.

Moldaseit explained that his team secured the funding without existing connections to investors by refining their personalized outreach and pitch deck. He co-founded the venture with American partner Jay David, focusing operations on major US cities including New York, Miami, and Atlanta.

In its first two and a half months, "Parde" achieved a monthly recurring revenue of $35,000 and attracted over 2,000 registered accounts. The startup currently has approximately $6 million in gross merchandise value in its pipeline, with the goal of increasing monthly revenue to $100,000.
