iPhone 18 to have Samsung display with curved sides on all four edges

Apple has begun working with Samsung on developing a special display for its future smartphones. The new panel, being developed on the basis of this technology, focuses primarily on reducing the device’s thickness and changing its design. This was reported by Ixbt.com reported.
Engineers plan to abandon the polarization layer in the display. This solution would make it possible to significantly thin the smartphone body.
Although such an approach is not new in the industry, Apple has not used it in its devices until now.
The biggest change will be related to the shape of the display. According to insiders, the new screen will have a four-sided curved design.
Until now, iPhone models have used only flat screens, but now they may return to the curved-display trend typical of Android devices.
According to experts, design trends in the mobile industry are cyclical. Given that Chinese brands often copy Apple’s ideas, curved screens are expected to regain popularity.
These technological innovations are expected to be introduced in the anniversary model, which is due to go on sale next year.
