The Chinese company "DeepSeek" is offering developers a 75 percent discount on its recently introduced "DeepSeek-V4-Pro" artificial intelligence model. This promotion is scheduled to run until May 5. Ixbt.com reports on this.
The company also reduced the cost of input data caching for all API models by 10 times at once. The "V4" model, introduced last Friday, is optimized for "Huawei" systems, and its powerful "Pro" and lightweight "Flash" versions have been released.
In conducted tests, the "Pro" version showed high results among open-source models, trailing only the "Google Gemini-Pro-3.1" model. According to the startup, the new models are very convenient for working with artificial intelligence agents that perform complex tasks.
At the same time, the US State Department issued a warning about attempts by Chinese companies, including "DeepSeek", to steal intellectual property from American laboratories.
