Artificial intelligence features to be added to Ubuntu operating system

Ubuntu operatsion tizimiga sun'iy intellekt funksiyalari qo'shiladi

Ubuntu, one of the world's most popular Linux distributions, will soon be enriched with artificial intelligence capabilities. Jon Seager, Vice President of Engineering at Canonical, announced a plan to introduce new technologies into the operating system over the coming year. Theverge.com reports on this.

The new features will be developed in two directions. First, artificial intelligence models will improve the system's existing capabilities in the background.

Second, specialized "AI-native" workflows and tools will be created for users. These changes will include conveniences such as speech-to-text conversion and personal automation.

Seager emphasized that Canonical prioritizes the transparency of models and processing data locally on the device itself. Additionally, the company is encouraging its engineers to use artificial intelligence more in their workflows, but employee performance will be evaluated based only on the final result.

The new technologies are also expected to help attract new users to the Linux ecosystem. There are plans to use artificial intelligence to simplify the complex aspects of modern Linux workstations and make system capabilities understandable to a broader audience.
